Oh yeah Serene, Jem & Kenneth is right, I've left this corner to stagnate.

Guess I just don't feel HUGE passion to pen down every thought I have (Besides, that's what my Twitter's for, right?).

Since I'm being very straightforward nowadays, I'll say it straight, my class is very weird. & that's in manymany ways. Somehow it seems we're bonded & smiley outside but yet the class spirit is like kinder surprise with NO surprise inside. Thankfully, everyday in school still manages to go on, with random groups of awesome people I hang out with (Pardon the use of random, it doesn't mean I choose mere acquaintances, but the fact that it changes a LITTLE here & there due to the high viscosity of relationships in 1020).
However, certain people give me a huge 'don't-get-too-close-to-me-i-might-be-hard-to-trust' vibe, I hope it becomes a 'let's-all-love-each-other-&-buy-McFlurry' vibe real soon.

I kinda miss not having CCS with the usual talkcocksingsong gang, not laughing incessantly at the stupidest things, not creating noise pollution in Macs or Cafe Cartel. JC life is so abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.

CIBTC D09's over, and if I were to post all about it it will take up half the memory space of this blog, so just a summary?
Also, nothing I say here will be controversial nor revealing, so I shan't put a password to protect this blog (It's a blog, after all).

[My cliche story]
Thanks to all the instructors for making the entire course from IPC so awesome, and of course, Charlie, for making course more...lively. The rubbish spewed throughout course was, somehow, quite funny, and I really do hope these 3 weeks wouldn't have gone to naught in your path from now (Whether or NOT you all ended up as P/CIs; still always Charlie D09).

I could never fathom why so many things were the way it was as a trainee last time, but from the view of an instructor, everything miraculously changes.
The awesome committee is but a figment of the entire organisation, but it's the one figment that reminds us why we even started our journey for (Go ninja turtles, too!)

To Charlie (If somehow, any of you managed to chance upon this): You all better not forget the 5 principles we told you all to live by. Remember to learn where & when to draw the line! And if it bothers you, remember my favourite quote that you all managed to even draw on the peer appraisal sheet.

Benny & I decided to take off our shoes (We forgot to tell the rest) and walk the entire way from school to the MRT station - at least our shoes & socks were dry.
It was yet another Carl's Junior session, awesomely filling and great. Oh, not to forget Angie's normal humour, which almost made us regurgitate everything.

I had a weird dream during my afternoon nap today.

I remember being in school with friends when we received the slip of paper with the retainees in class. There were 4. I was one of them, and so was ______. Somehow, _____'s name was in there too, IDK why (And I felt elated then, not surprised - That's weird).

Then we went out, I think it was to the MRT first, to wait for some other people, so while waiting we hanged around at some shop (I remember it having transparent glass walls all over). Met Roy at the place & told him about my retainment & all.

(I can't remember what's in between)

At a friend's place, we decided to play ping-pong while the rest like Clinton & Tye went off to play other stuff (Yeah, I'm wondering how they ended up in my head, too). After dinner (I forgot how come it's suddenly dinner, and no, it wasn't chinese takeaway on the ping-pong table), I was speaking to Daniel Lim, who somehow supposedly just transferred from another school. When we were crossing back the field, we could see the girls sitting at some distance far away, but we were actually walking at this very moment cos' we seemed to be travelling back in time to witness an incident. Something happened & the girls were made to sign some stuff before suddenly they ran back towards us. There were these high-netted stuff (Similar to those in golf courses) which I tripped over & fell into. The girls saw me & this other person who was walking with me - Was it Daniel? before they quickly grabbed their bags & ran off.

Then I woke up, my handphone was ringing.

It didn't seem like a nightmare, but the whole mood was somewhat, sombre.
It was like happy stuff happened, but the whole dream didn't feel happy overall.

I'm hungry.

I'm helluva tired.
Studying: Not much going into my brain, wonder why.

It's been real sucky to know that my walk with God has been shaky, & the worst is I didn't even notice it. It seemed normal enough that I can't go Church cos' of tuition etc., but I guess now that I use the word 'normal', and since I used 'sucky' and 'God' in the same line, I guess my fire's been real, watery.

And, as always, my walk with friends have been even worse (Oh wow, new happening here).
Somebody please note the 'as always', hahaha (Whoa see, now I'm laughing).

I really think loads, especially nowadays about NPCC (Not to mention the fact that I just came back from camp). Wonder how come I can be so on fire for NPCC, but not for God. Also, how come the fire for NPCC flickers ever so often nowadays (Yeah I know it might be cos' _______________________).

I still find it IRONIC, that somehow I feel so left out, but both are important to me (Okay, varying importance, but still). This feeling sucks, especially when I know I might not really belong. Sometimes I guess I need loads of reassurances, but I still feel it, yeah I do. It's really taxing, and I keep on questioning myself why I bother.

I guess, the passion does keep burning.

I thought NPCC Camp was, honestly, quite fun (To a certain extent, you'll know when you see it from my point of view haha). I'm really glad my squad has grown up to take over the unit, just pray nothing will go wrong from now. I'm hoping working with them will be enjoyable & not stressful/boring. The sec 1s are really funny too. Seems like after EVERY NPCC event, we have loads of stories to tell.

Anyway, let me post a little bit on ATC.
SUPERHEROES!
That's the theme.

Honestly, it's my first time being Camp Coord with Kevin for an ATC & we definitely did not expect loads of things to turn out the way it did, good or bad. Hours and hours of planning, from staying up till 3am in Coffee Bean to Starbucks to McDonald's and typing in the car, finally ended with the 3 days 2 nights camp itself.

I didn't really expect to scold in ATC (It's supposed to be fun, yeah), but now that it's over, I just hope everything sank in.
I won't forget the MANYMANY moments in camp, including:

1. How tents got invaded by ants, so the CIs pitched tents for them at around 2+am in darkness with torchlights
2. How 'Transformers' reported strength in Chinese cos' they couldn't fathom the rule of 'Speaking only English' in camp

11. How they sang a happy birthday song to me in 3 different languages, haha, guess that's the only exception the 'Only-English' rule
12. How some cadets came up to me, tapped me and went, 'Happy Birthday sir'
13. How the sec 3s walked down the slope into Bahru campsite singing Happy Birthday as they walked along, haha
14. How they celebrated my birthday thereafter at Fish & Co. & I was made to stand on a chair holding a sparkler hahaha

I'm back from ATC, back to the usual workload of JC.
These days, I've been pondering over the choices I've made (Wow, welcome to the World of 'new'). Think I've made many wrong ones (Either that, or I'm in denial; Pardon me, I know the sentence structure is wrong too).

When you thought the choices you made were wrong, more doubts pop up in the form of friends. Gone were the days I could easily pick up a phone and dial any number that came to my mind to rant, to talk rubbish, to just go 'hello?' or even for no reason at all. How a simple noun became such a befuddling paradox, I have no idea.

I seem to get irritated these few times (Okay, not just these few times) at quite a few stuff, especially pertaining to people & school, somebody tell me to chyull siol. I NEED TO LEPAK.

SASS NPCC Annual Unit Camp 2009

I must admit, adapting to a new unit and a whole new culture is never easy. But I'm glad this is a fun unit. Within 3 days, I managed to learn so much about them. Their potential is great, though I don't think I wanna do direct comparisons between ACS and SASS, cos' both are awesome in different ways.

Certain things really made me smile though, but other things made me feel a little. IDK.

I just hope and pray everything goes well from now.

Before we celebrated Abel's birthday yesterday (1st August), I was in for a huge surprise.

FRIDAY, 31ST JULY
After School I rushed to SASS (My future acronym for St. Andrew's Secondary School, obviously). I met with Ms. Tan, one of the TOs, and learnt quite a fair bit about the unit (And the school). However, only managed to meet 3 NCOs-to-be. Better than nothing. I hope everything goes well from now, push on!

Drama FOA
Cabbed to ACS for Drama FOA. Met up with Roy, Julian, Daniel, Clinton, Juno, Nick Tye, Yuan Zhang & Max. (Not to mention the sexy AC peeps like Tim Koh, Ivano, Jem, Daryl, Shim, MS. TEE, Joel, Fengyi, Marcus etc.) The play was LONG, till 10+, then Roy insisted on going to Orchard to watch some famous act coming to Singapore.

My surprise
SO, Roy, myself, Julian, Juno & Clinton headed over to Plaza Sing. When I went up the escalator, SUDDENLY, I saw...Serene? (YAH, SERENE?!). She thus brought me into Cafe Cartel where I was shockified D:

Woke up real late (SORRY), so I missed swimming & my dental appt. Met with JK before cabbing to Ulu Pandan CC for the NDP Observance Ceremony.

So we had to run around placing markers, telling them to keep the spacing, look up, march at the same timing and even alter pants' length for them.

Abel's Birthday!
Thereafter, I went back with the bus to school, and Lin, Kevin, JK & I went to Abel's house to pick him up. WE SNEAKED IN AGAIN :D And I hid inside Axel's room (Until JK & Kevin came up & made noise, TSK.) & 'surprised' him from the balcony, heh. Went to meet Jai @ Wheelock & ate at NYDC. Then we went to watch

'THE HANGOVER'.

SUNDAY, 2ND AUGUST
Woke up late again, met up with Lina, Esther & Matthew @ The Cathay to study. Joel & Roy came soon after.

The story:
Matthew sat at Starbucks long without ordering anything (Tsk). So, the lady decided to approach him to ask if he wanted to taste new drinks. Obviously he said okay. However, the drinks took long to come, so they compensated us with a frappe (Nice), and then the tasting session came with pastry too! So they spent $0 up till that point. Of course, they decided to buy drinks after that, heh.

The camera got the better of us, ohwell.

Though I'm very happy by all these SUPER WONDERFUL incidents (Pure awesomeness), but I still have those thoughts stuck in my mind. I keep on thinking about it, am I...just thinking too much?

Of course, back to the little screwups in life. I sincerely hope this a new beginning, though I'm definitely not letting go of the past. It's been great hanging out with Lina loads these days, plus Serene when she can.

The tuition kids were awesomely funny today. As the girls went into the toilet the boy bent over and whisphered to me, 'They're lesbians.' before I gasped and went 'Do you know why the fractions are like this?', then he stared at me, narrowed his eyes, and went back to his exercise book.

Of course, much more interesting things the kids said, but I shan't post it here now. THEY SURE GROW UP FAST HUH. ONLY IN PRIMARY SCHOOL MAN.

'NDP' Rehearsal (Note the '') in school has been funny, thanks to the 11 other UG people we get to work with, and their different styles of working. YES SIR?

Even moments sitting on the benches with Jolene, Benny, KL & Daphne (w/ Jazlyn, Hui Ming, Cheng Mun & Justina listening to Angie sing on the other) playing with stethoscopes can't take away all the burden of the workload.

I have so many things to say, I have totally no idea where to start.

How about this, I give you a summary of what happened, then you can ask me in detail if I didn't elaborate:

1. Went out with Rachel, Ashley, Joel, Serene, Wei En & Roy on the 6th July to Sentosa (Volleyball, then pool, then arcade, ping-pong before jumping into Rasa Sentosa's pool). We then met Jem at Vivo for dinner, where I FINALLY got to meet Shengyuan & Dave after many years.

2. AYG (it's Asian Youth Games for those that have been hiding in their cupboards) is over! I took Chinese Taipei for the Closing Ceremony, spoke loads to the captain, took a photo with him, took photos with other new-found friends :D Plus I now have AYG tees & the AYG mascot plushie (Thanks QY!)!

I'm really glad I'm in (Squad) Charlie Company. Awesome people, very true to themselves!

I haven't blogged for long, that's what I always say.
Actually, I have loads to say, but too tired to type.

Cutting it short:

- Just had NCO Camp, I thought it was not bad, but we had to use LOADS of time to discuss this batch. Not a lot of photos though.
- CIBTC starting next Wed, collected uniform already, preparing the uniform & items now.
- Supposed to go cycling with Jem, Ivan & Lenz tomorrow, but I have to pack my house (Yeah, I'm moving), so I'll just have dinner with Jem.
- Watched Monsters VS Aliens 3D with Lin, Kevin & JK, funny! (We're meeting again on Sat)
- Supposed to have an outing with 4.1 this Saturday at Sentosa, IDK if I can make it.
- I've resigned as Class Chairman as I'm now Vice-Chairman of CCS
- I'll probably have to resign from AYG due to CIBTC
- Cell Group Multiplication is on the 20th, followed by Matthew's ACJC Band Concert
- CCS just had an outing to sing karaoke followed by steamboat/BBQ & dessert, awesome!

- I REALLY haven't been catching up with many friends, I say this all the time, I mean it all the time.

For Chinese Drama, no schools in Singapore got Gold
with Honours.
HOWEVER, only 4 schools got Gold, and NYJC is one
of them!

I've been slightly busy preparing for the SYF Post-party &
J2s Farewell/R.O.D. (Where my batch takes over already - fast
huh) I hope it's gonna be awesome - for everyone, that is.

Anyway, I was reading Newsweek (It's a magazine, if you
didn't know) & I read the many deep insights into stories
we don't necessarily hear all the time. Such as how the H1N1
virus came about etc.

Btw, NYJC's Volleyball came in Champions (Girls) and 2nd
(Boys) today! At least I didn't totally lose my voice

I was at Kevin's yesterday (Okay yeah, it is my 2nd home) watching Amazing Race and I saw the Finale (No, I didn't follow this season). I was deeply touched by Margie & Luke. For those who don't know, Luke was born deaf and his mother's amazing, she's a bionic woman. Luke was super upset that he couldn't complete the last task (Which leads to the million dollars, they came first, ended last), but when they conversed, it was so, whoa.

LUCKILY, there are fun stuff in school that doesn't allow life to be mundane. Like SIG Day today!

We were supposed to meet at 9.30 at Harbourfront, I woke up at 10+. Oops?
So I rushed, met Max, Tye, Ash, Dom, WJ, Elliott, YZ, Daryl, Roy, Daniel & some dude (I'm sure I left out at least someone here) at Siloso beach. Played volleyball, talked a lot of rubbish, played beach soccer, frisbee, blasted music, rushed off with Roy.

Took MRT home & rushed a cab with Denis to Bugis to meet the CCS peeps to watch

It's a musical starring Chew Xin Hui (Sing Chew), Joanna Dong, George Chan, Jeffrey Low/Robin Goh etc. I bought the OST after that. They remixed many local songs, and added their own to the list, awesome. Singing, great. Acting, great. Overall feel, wow.

So they told me to go back & join some Frisbee thing as a class, I never knew it was so official! There were actual Frisbee CCA teams from CJC, ACJC, RJC etc. but nvm, we had fun. Frisbee is a very engaging sport man.

I hit my head against the edge of a chair accidentally, while sliding across the floor.
And my back still hurts, luckily I've seen the doctor.

0919 actually stayed back together as a class to complete our 'Don't Waste the Waste' project, good job guys! Now that I've sent the t-shirt designs for evaluation, we'll know soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROY!
We went to celebrate it today (No it's not today.)
Double surprise for him (See, I organised another surprise!). First was the class popping out behind myself, Matthew & him. Next was Serene & KM with the birthday cake at some corner, where we started sitting & having 'icebreakers' HEH.
We're super sjdhbdhjbds, played bishi-bashi champ, decided to play LAN, decided to play Pool, decided to go chit-chat, walked around the whole Orchard to end up at PARAGON, where we played more random games & took photos. Great presents, no?

Surprised him again in school with the letter using the programme the Councillors came up with. Again, we surprised him in CCS with a huge cake and the whole CCS :D (Lao shi helped us too, heh).

Went to VCH with the CCS people to watch this performance, which included their SYF piece I think? There were 3 shows, not bad overall. Their props/stage effects look expensive, haha! I thought was a good job overall :D
We camwhored a lot, then the J1s decided to buy supper after (The show was 7.30pm to 10+?)

I've realised, everyone's priorities are vastly different.

After going through a routine in life for quite a while, I realised I now treasure some things much more, and detest other things a little now. I think you would know which.

I've been falling asleep on my bed unknowingly (Not til' the next morning) and rushing to catch up with work so much, thank God for friends asking me to go out & unwind.

HAPPY BELATED 17TH JIAKAI & KEVIN!

We went to celebrate on Good Friday (Apt, no?)
I woke up late after a nosebleed while sleeping, trained to City Hall where Jai picked me up (Drenched through & through) to Mindcafe @ Boat Quay area. We were so crazy playing the games, taking photos & making noise. I gave them the cards I made! (Which were soggy and slightly unreadable, thanks to the rain)

We then drove Jai to his bro's party @ The Cage. His parents asked us to stay (So we did), and we felt kinda awkward after a while so we managed to go off (With Jai).

Then we headed to Cineleisure, to Taka, to Wisma & to Wheelock, where I bought Famous Amos for the birthday ~~boys~~ men in between, and we had dinner at NYDC. We had chocolate cake! And I went to buy JK & Kevin a notebook each (Borders' stuff are expensive! But still...), and I started drawing & writing in it, then Jai & I found awesome cool postcards, so we bought it, and I wrote more in it. I hope Jai, QY, Lin, Isaac & Abel made both your day(s)!

The layers piling on me seem to be increasing.

I miss AC a lot! (Not that I don't like NY or anything)

I have:

1. SYF - It's tiring, stressing, & worrying when I can't get a certain emotion/action right, though everyone there is awesome, helpful & friendly. It's probably just me.

2. Workload - Holiday HW, not started, you know the load.

3. Tests - Without doing HW, I doubt studying comes in.

4. NPCC - This is something I WANT to go back for, but now that CCS timing has changed once again (I don't don't like CCS either), I can't even go back for Friday trainings until after BYG/SYF.

I can't believe the amount we put in for ____ ____ after waiting & watching, then get accused by you all once again.
It's plain lame. No thanks is fine, but this is like. Seriously, you've totally misunderstood almost everything. You should've just come straight and ask/tell us, we would've told you clearly everything. If you're not happy with me, please come & tell me, thanks.

5. Drama - Go SYF! It was great to be back with the same old peeps (Plus the new sec 1s, Justin Mao, Paul Leow and whonot) today and watching them perform once again

Just some updates:

1. My SYF script has been edited, & you should come for Bai Yun Gang! The people in CCS are awesome
2. Serene, Eugene & I joined Talent Runway & got 2nd! Awesome song we composed!
3. I've joined 'The One' (Singing competition) in my school, finals this Friday evening.
4. MEGA Camp is next week!
5. I've been bogged down by work, though I'm super glad my Minor Research Paper is OVER
6. I've been missing sleep (Like how I slept at 3+ yesterday cos' of MRP)

My class tried to attempt a class outing after Sports Carnival last Saturday was cancelled. The results were not too bad, we managed to eat at Bugis and then catch 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' at Vivocity.

Thanks for being so awesome Hannah! & yes I think I'll stick to 'Here Without You'!

I normally would not watch an animal show. I thought, what else can they show other than that animal living, being cute, disappearing/living happily ever after etc., but Marley and Me proved me wrong. It's those feel-good, tear-jerking shows. And it was even better when Serene, Eugene & I got to stick our legs up (Second row seats).

Wei En's birthday party & movie just now, just reached home a while ago.

I feel tremendously blessed at times (Not very regularly though, sorry). Service today was as good as always and I got to sit in Eugene's car! Hahaha.

Now, to my homework.

There's been an overload of quizzes, I know. (Someone told me, actually)

I'm supposed to be doing homework & researching GP now, I'm trying to juggle these all (Not really working though). Met up with Serene, Jasmine, Amanda, Jasmine (This is NOT a typo) & their friends for dinner today, luckily I'm not that laid back in catching up with friends, & hopefully won't be.

A BLOG is meant to be about a person/a group/people/events/a certain scope of things (e.g. music food etc.) and I'm wondering what I'm typing at times. It's like GP, I need to find a focus (Obviously I haven't).

I realised how thin Newsweek magazine is (Okay I can't really complain since it's not like I pay a lot for it) but I honestly thought it would be thicker. I realised how busy my schedule is going to be with 'Bai Yun Gang' & SYF coming up! (Though I still make time for my awesome friends, of course). In March Hols there's a workshop for NYJC J1s, then back to BYG rehearsals, so hopefully I can make it in time for MEGA Camp. Either that, or I go for MEGA Camp in the evenings, sad.

CLASS 0919!

Our wonderful creation

I think this is my only nice picture of the DANCEFLOOR for DISCO NIGHT!

After one week with 0919, we realised how full of rubbish we are, awesome! I don't know if I can remember everything, but here's the breakdown:

DAY ONE. Walked into the hall with music blasting & 2 hosts telling lame jokes. Got our $21 orientation package with 2 Orientation tees, a NYJC Orientation lanyard, Orientation towel, a wristband (Red for Alex!), A sports tube bag (Which contained all these), our School Diary, our schedule, a red cloth (To tie around your hand/head etc.) etc. (Sorry can't rmb). Had games, learned cheers, learned mass dance (Refer to previous post) etc.

DAY TWO. Escape to Sentosa! Games, games, cheering, games. Had dinner with the class at Vivocity before we slacked & talked rubbish till 9+, 10.

DAY THREE. Showdown! (Telematches etc.), Mass Dance 2! The trad dance involves the waltz & other random moves too. CCA Bazaar, freezing in the atrium for 2 minutes, super funny.

DAY FOUR. Wet games! Waterfall was super funny (Climbing up this slope of soapy stuff), tribal time, Mass Dance 3 (Hot N Cold by Katy Perry), Cheering Competition, Dancing Competition (Tarzan & Jane), DISCO NIGHT, photo-taking etc.

DAY FIVE. (This isn't really orientation) Get Ed! It's some er. event thing in NYJC once every 2 years, dunno how to explain, haha.

Now I'm off to meet Stephanie, then Serene & Eugene!

Went out with Serene before we met up with the CG, after which I headed to CHC Expo with Eugene. The sermon was great! (It was on love - mainly marriages) There were even skits to go along with the sermon, heh.

No, it's not that I don't like Tampines Junior College. I miss OG 22 there! Especially all the rubbish we talk in the canteen, the LT & wherever we can go. So many choices to make recently, overwhelming seems to be the most apt word.

I've started at Nanyang JC today, and I must say the school facilities are awesome. At least Gabriel, Shirley, Roy, Johari, Huseyn, Christian & Yee Wen are there. Finally met up with da gang today at Orchard, after I went back for NPCC (Yes Kenneth Yon, where's my gift?). Funny how we're all now in CJC, MJC, NYJC & SAJC.

Thanks for making my TPJC days awesome Preeti, Ali, Amelia Tan, Kenneth Loh, Xuefang, Zhi Kang, Gabriel Wan & the girls (like Wei Qian & Masyita)!

FIRST DAY OF MY JC LIFE.

I was totally expecting at least:
1. Mass Dance (All schools used to have this)
2. Games (After all, it IS orientation, right?)
3. Ice-breakers (Tons of them)

I got none. I had one ice-breaker, which lasted 15 minutes. Orientation this week was more of 'settling into the school culture', the proper orientation (with fun) is in a camp the week after next, when classes are set.

It's not like I need fun, but hey, it's the first week of a new school & the schedule has talks/lectures/breaks (This I like)/talks (Again) all over. Luckily there's some 'interactive game' tomorrow, & CCA Open House on Thur.

ON ANOTHER NOTE, I'm glad JiaKai & Kevin are enjoying themselves at CJC & SAJC respectively, they're having TONS of fun (Remember Saturday!)

So far:
Gabriel says he likes NYJC too.
MJC, JJC & PJC aren't having so much fun, but not having lectures & all yet I guess.
ACJC is having loads of fun (Refer to CJC & SAJC)
IJC has no complaints so far, hahaha.

School's quite good, but I don't really like the first week orientation. The people are nice, & I'm glad our school ends earliest (I reached home from Tampines by 2.20pm). So don't mistake me, I don't hate school, heh. (Not yet, anyway)

Basically, for most JCs, the first week will be ORIENTATION.
What comes after, is most probably lectures & tutorials.
I hope we don't have to buy the uniforms so soon...

Day 3: I went out with Kevin & Lin and we ate our fill at Cafe Cartel, while talking about JC non-stop. The food & company was great.
